Posted by Lisa On December - 21 - 2010

Yoshi is our Twelfth and last Stray of Christmas for this year. Yoshi is a loveable fun little girl cat about 8 months old. She is confident and silly, willing to be a roomie for those wanting another feline. However she would never turn down being an only cat in her new home. She is playful but loves her attention too. If you have room in your heart for our last Stray of Christmas, Yoshi, please stop in to see us.

The Eleventh Stray of Christmas – Akasha

Posted by Lisa On December - 19 - 2010

The Eleventh Stray of Christmas is Akasha, a female Maremma X Kangal mix who has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Akasha is about 11 months old and came to us on September 15. As her breeds indicate she has potential as a predator dog for ranches or farms but the personality to make a great family pet for active people. She is loving and silly, puppy like in some ways but coming into her own as a young adult. As an indoor pet she seems to be fine with cats and other dogs, but she will need consistent guidance to make good decisions as she is still a youngster. If you would like to meet this fluffy girl, drop into the Shelter.

Our Tenth Stray of Christmas is Sylvester, a large neutered domestic long hair male cat, looking for a big comfy couch to hold down. Yes, if you have a couch that has issues with floating around, Sylvester is the cat for you. He will quietly ensure that your furniture does not move. And if you choose to hold him, he will keep you weighted down too. Sylvester  is a super affectionate character that would love nothing better than a forever home for Christmas. Come in and wrap your arms around this big fluffy fella.

The Ninth Stray of Christmas – Juniper

Posted by Lisa On December - 17 - 2010

Juniper is a spayed domestic short hair female tabby cat who came to us this fall. And literally she came to us! I looked out the front window of the Shelter on September 17 and there she was, walking down the road to the front of the Shelter. She was thin and was pretty sickly . I went outside to pick her up and she thought that she would rather lie under the juniper shrub beside our building. I carefully picked her up and brought her in. We had to medicate her for a couple of weeks which she willingly allowed. Juniper has turned into a wonderful healthy affectionate and outgoing girl. She is calm and quiet with her tiny meow. If you have room in your home for Juniper please drop in and meet her.
