Our Fourth Stray of Christmas is Roxy the cat. Roxy came to us on June 15, 2010 in quite poor physical condition and mentally not much better. It seems that she was not treated in the best manner in her previous home. Back then she did not appreciate affection from people. Her coat was lank and dark, her eyes sad. A few weeks after her arrival her health started to improve, her coat started to get fluffy and lighter in color and her eyes brightened. Best of all, she started to purr when she was petted and held. Now Roxy is our present office cat, with free roam of the office. She finds she likes it best on the desk right under everyone’s noses and preferably right on top of whatever paperwork you are focusing on at that moment. She cannot get enough affection or attention. If you are ready for a cat that craves attention and cuddles, come down to the Shelter and meet Roxy. UPDATE: ROXY IS OUT ON A TEST DRIVE!

The Third Stray of Christmas is Annie. Annie is a spayed female domestic short hair cat who came to us as a stray from Southside Park here in Swift Current. She was sitting up a tree just waiting to be rescued. On August 10th Annie came to stay with us at the Shelter to find her forever home. Annie is a friendly cat who really appreciates getting affection from people. Annie would be fine living with other cats or dogs that are good with cats. She will be fine with children as well. Her super soft shiny coat just begs to be petted. Do you have room in your home for Annie? Call us at 773-1806 or come to the Shelter to check out Annie for yourself.
