| Trooper was found behind a business in Gull Lake with a leg injury. He is nice and healthy now and has been neutered. He is a happy cat with an affectionate purr and cuddle. Through his treatment of his leg injury he was a real "Trooper" and purred his way through having his wound cleaned. If you are looking for a very tolerant cat, Trooper is your guy. | Chief was found behind the Credit Union on July 16 and a very kind woman looked after him for a month trying to find his home. He is a large neutered red mackerel tabby and white cat. | |||

She did share her previous home with other cats and a dog as well as a bird and so is quite adaptable. | Please read our blog regarding an ad posted on swiftcurrentonline.com regarding someone with a sick kitten with ringworm looking for someone to look after it. I spoke with this woman and informed her that the kitten she had likely has panleukopenia as well as ringworm, both of which are highly contagious to unvaccinated cats ( and we can contract ringworm from animals as well). If you have any questions regarding the blog or the ad please feel free to contact us at the Shelter through email or at 773-1806. | We need some volunteers that can help us pick up cindercrete blocks donated to us by Gary and Teresa Hildebrandt to assist in renovations here at our Shelter. If you are able to assist in the next couple of days by providing manpower or a flat deck trailer to haul them to the Shelter it would be greatly appreciated. Email us or phone the Shelter if you can help us out. Thank you! | Blaze is a young male domestic long hair kitten who is completely housetrained. Although he has never spent any time with any other animals, we will introduce him to other Shelter animals once he is fully vaccinated. He is very playful with his people and doesn't mind having a bath either. He likes to play with string and crumbled up paper.
