Please visit the Shelter during viewing hours to see if we have a pet you might be interested in adopting.
We suggest you spend some time with the pet that you select to ensure that it is the right one for you. We provide an area where you can spend some time visiting with your future pet. If you are considering adopting a dog, you may choose to take it for a walk. We also recommend that you and all your family members meet your potential pet to check for compatibility including any other pets that you may have.
If you are still unsure as to whether the pet is right for you and your family, you may wish to consider “Taking a Test Drive” where you can have the pet for a few days so the pet can briefly live with you before you complete the final adoption process.
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees include any vaccinations that the pet received while under our care and covers the cost of having the animal spayed or neutered.
Cats
Males or Female: $80.00
All of our Cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, except for young kittens who are not yet old enough where other arrangements may be made.
Dogs:
Male or Female: $150.00 if already altered, orĀ $200.00 with a rebate of $50.00 being issue by our Treasurer upon the Shelter receiving proof of the animal being spayed or neutered.
Microchips
We now offer microchipping of your new pet – this is a great way of ensuring your pet will be returned to you if it should get lost. Most veterinarians and shelters (including us) have microchip scanners that enable us to identify your pet, and contact you. The cost through the shelter for new adopters is only $25 per animal – your pet’s information is stored on a national database and there are no ongoing costs*. Experts agree that microchips are the best way to make sure you and your pet are reunited!
*There is a small fee to update the database if ownership of the pet changes.
