Archie is a sweet and affectionate 7 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who unfortunately has severe allergies and a thyroid condition. He has lots of energy and loves his toys and all the attention you can give. When he first came to the Shelter, he had extreme hair loss but thanks to the staff his hair has grown back and he’s more handsome than ever! Because of his conditions he is on a special diet and a daily medication. The cost for meds works out to only about $13.50 a month and the specialty food is about $100 a bag (and he eats about a bag a month). He also requires a blood test about every 6 months just to make sure the pills are keeping him where he needs to be.
-one bottle of meds (120 pills)
-baths for 1-2 months (1 time per week) at a designated groomer (owner responsible for drop off and pick up)
-a bag of specialty food
-leash & collar

He is an absolute sweetheart and really deserves a forever home that can care for him properly. He does well with other dogs and could do OK with cats, if introduced correctly. He tends to get very excited when he sees cats and am not exactly sure how to play with them correctly. He will just need some guidance.
