The Swift Current SPCA is searching for full time Kennel Attendant to join our team. A Kennel Attendant provides care of our Shelter Cats and Dogs, Shelter Cleanliness, Public Relations and Administrative Duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and sterile environment for the animals (including cat kennel cleaning and facility cleaning)
Feeding and grooming of animals
Vaccinating and microchiping of animals
Address the SPCA team (co-workers and the board of directors) and the public in a professional manner
Being assertive. ready, and able to assist anyone needing direction or voicing concerns
Have the ability to problem solve and resolve issues quickly
Perform documentation and data entry on the Animal Shelter Manager Database as well as hard-copy files
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment
Handle financial transactions
Perform all duties in a safe manner
Able to handle many physical tasks and carry weights in excess of 45lbs
Must have own transportation or accessible with public transportation.
