Microchip your pet!
You may have read in the news recently about Booboo the cat who was reunited with her original owners after nearly four years, thanks to an implanted microchip. Please consider this low cost procedure for all your pets – we offer it for all our shelter adoptees, as well as providing the service to non-SPCA cats and dogs. It could make all the difference when trying to find a lost pet – most Shelters (including ours!) and Veterinarians have the ability to scan for microchips.
UPDATE:The SPCA is having a microchipping clinic at Pet Valu again on May 13 from 1-4pm. Dogs and cats are welcome!
