The Swift Current SPCA shelter can currently use volunteers for tasks such as dog walking and assisting with events.  Volunteers must be 14 years or older to volunteer independently ; younger children may be able to volunteer if accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. For information on shelter volunteering, call 306-773-1806 or complete and drop off our volunteer application form found here: https://spcaswiftcurrent.com/downloadable-files/

We also need volunteers (individuals and groups) at times throughout the year to assist with our fundraising and events. Volunteers tasks can include selling tickets and merchandise at our sales tables at stores and trade shows,  assisting with set up and tear down of events, driving, helping with barbeques, games, registration at events, doing sparkle tattoos, baking for our Cupcake Day and more. If you are interested in event volunteering, please complete our volunteer application at the link above and email it to infospcaswiftcurrent@gmail.com or get more information via this email. Event volunteering opportunities are circulated monthly and volunteers can choose the activities and shifts which suit them. Training is provided.

Individuals may also contact our bookstore at 306-773-8564 if they might be interested in taking regular or casual volunteer shifts doing shelf stocking or sales. Training is provided.

And finally, we also appreciate the efforts of volunteers who assist us by organizing their own fundraisers for the SPCA throughout the year. This includes events ranging from lemonade stands in the summer to larger public events to benefit the shelter. We encourage you to discuss your plans with the SPCA by contacting us at infospcaswiftcurrent@gmail.com
