The sad reality is that sometimes we can’t take a pet exactly when someone wants to drop it off and the need for shelter services will always be greater than our capacity. One way everyone can help this situation is by taking responsibility for the root cause: pet overpopulation. Consistent spay and neuter of pets will help prevent more unwanted pets. We certainly hope that in future we may be able to grow in physical size and capacity to take more pets but we are community-funded so the dollars to do this would need to be raised by the community.
